I help people manage symptoms that are interfering with their ability to live healthier, more satisfying lives.

I specialize in helping people dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, phobias, panic attacks and other mental health issues that are interfering with functioning. I enjoy helping people learn to manage symptoms which are getting in the way of their leading happy, healthy lives. My practice is diverse and I am particularly familiar with the legal profession (I worked in this industry for over 30 years), the LGBTQ community, the performing arts community and people in the recovery process. I also enjoy working with people who are going through transitions and want support for making changes in their lives.

Acceptance & Committment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy teach you tools and processes to help you live with your difficult thoughts and feelings without them controlling you. You learn to have a healthy relationship with your inner experiences that allows you to move forward toward your goals rather than staying stuck in unhelpful patterns.

My focus is helping you live a vital, engaged life. If your past therapy has only focused on the past and you want to try something different, I believe you will enjoy working with me! Knowing WHY you are the way you are does not necessarily help you with HOW to change.
